Hoan Kiem Lake – the symbol of Hanoi capital.
It used to be called Luc Thuy lake (because the water is green all year round), Thuy Quan lake (used to review naval soldiers), Ta Vong and Huu Vong lakes (during the late Le dynasty).
In the early 15th century, it was called Hoan Kiem Lake, associated with the legend of King Le Loi returning the magic sword to the magic turtle. According to legend, while King Le Thai To was on a boat, a golden turtle suddenly appeared from the water, demanding that the king return the sword that the Dragon King had lent him to repel the invading Ming army. The king immediately returned the sword to the magic turtle and the turtle dived into the water and disappeared. From then on, the lake was named Hoan Kiem Lake.
With respect and pride in history, we put the image of Hoan Kiem Lake on the watch dial.
